Natural Oils that Nourish the Skin

Did you know that using natural cream cleansers and oils as part of your daily skin care regimen is ideal for all skin types?  It is!  Everyone benefits from cleansing and moisturizing with oil based, wax free formulations.  In fact, even people with acne and oily skin have amazing results from using natural oils to support and nourish their skin.

Harsh soaps and chemical filled cleansers make you think they’re working but, that squeaky clean feeling you get, that’s the products removing the natural oils in your skin.  The beauty industry has led us to believe that’s a good thing, but, it’s not.

You see, when the oils the skin produces naturally are removed, it makes your body think it should increase oil production.  Healthy skin does not follow when your skin goes into oil production hyper drive.  Instead,  you promote conditions like accelerated aging, increased acne, and other skin problems.

However, when you feed your skin with natural, oil based products you support it’s normal functioning and even enhance it.  Here are a few of our favorite oils that we use with great results in the formulation of Sevani natural beauty products and our own day to day skin care routines both for ourselves and our clients.

Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil
These tiny orange berries are abundant in vitamin C, fatty acids, amino acids, and beta-carotene. Benefits from using sea buckthorn seed oil include wrinkle reduction and the regeneration of skin cells.

Rosehip Seed Oil
Rosehip seed oil contains high amounts of Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, and Vitamin A, as well as essential fatty acids and more! Rose Hip Seed Oil helps prevent premature aging, minimize wrinkles, and reduces stretch marks and scars with it’s tissue regeneration properties as well.

Argan Oil
Argan oil contains wonderfully high amounts of natural vitamin A and Essential Fatty Acids.  It’s also filled with anti oxidants and known also as an anti inflammatory too.

Jojoba Seed Oil
Jojoba Seed oil is absorbed easily by our skin because it offers a similar molecular structure to the oil that our own skin produces.  Even the driest skin can be relieved through the use of this lovely oil.

Kukui Nut Oil
Filled with Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E, Kukui Nut Oil is also high in essential fatty acids and, like jojoba oil is easily absorbed by the skin.

Grapeseed oil
Grapeseed oil, a natural byproduct of wine making, is great for all skin types and simply filled with antioxidants that are known for their ability to protect the skin from free radical damage.

Evening Primrose Oil
Evening Primrose Oil is an anti inflammatory and contains the highly prized GLA essential fatty acid.

Avocado Oil
Another oil rich in essential fatty acids, Avocado oil also contains a plethora of close to 20 vitamins including D, C, K and B1.  Avocado oil is also a great source of zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, pytonutrients, and, it too is easily absorbed by the skin.

We also include essential oils and other nutrient rich natural oils to create completely non toxic skin care products that are just what you’re skin has been craving.

And Harper’s Bazaar Agrees!  They recommended Sevani’s Serum Vitale Essential Nutrient Oil with Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil for anti-aging and skin firming in their article discussing all the advantages of an oil based skin care regimen.  Serum Vitale was our first creation years before the recent popularity surge of using oils in skin care as we always shared the benefits of oils with our clients in our facials to balance, hydrate, and renew.

In addition to our Serum Vitale you can enjoy these oils in products like our Ageless Eyes Revitalizing Eye Serum, Advanced Omega Night Repair Serum, Moroccan Argan Beauty Oil, and more.  Make the switch to natural oil based beauty products today and you’ll never use the “other stuff” ever again!
