Beauty Salad Recipes | 2 Yummy Ways to Feed Your Skin Fast

Holistic health and beauty depends greatly on the quality of your diet.  The food choices you make each and every day really do affect the way your body functions, as well as how your skin looks.  Conditions like psoriasis and eczema can often be eased or even eliminated with dietary changes, as can many other physical and mental health issues.  And, along those same lines, even if you’re taking medicine, and/or using the best natural skin care products, if your diet is poor, torganic almonds for natural beauty saladhese remedies can only solve so much.  When you eat well however, your body stays strong, healthy and works to it’s fullest potential.

What constitutes eating well?

Most people say that’s different for each individual.  In terms of skin, there is much evidence that fatty foods like dairy and meats lead to increased sebum production and acne, as well as accelerated aging among other issues.  Also, dairy as well as processed foods and wheat are some of the primary culprits for skin conditions like eczema, rosacea and others.  When these foods are reduced or eliminated from the diet, these skin conditions often clear.

Overall, no one can deny that fresh, organic fruits and vegetables should be the main part of everyone’s diet.  You probably know from reading past posts here that we eat and recommend a gluten free, vegan diet both for optimal skin health – also because of our love of animals (the vegan part anyway!).  But, we also know – from personal experience – this is not easy.  Life gets in the way.  Fast food beckons, and we slowly move away from our optimal diet.  Each day is a blank canvas though and an opportunity to make better choices, including about what we eat.

To help you make better food choices even in a hurry, one of the options we highly recommend are salads.  You can make them ahead of time, they’re fairly easy to carry (especially with the right containers) for food on the go, and they’re raw, organic veggie and fruit power!  Here are two of our favorite salad recipes that incorporate some fantastic beauty foods and make yummy ways to feed your skin, and your whole body right.
