\"\"<\/a>It\u2019s that time of year (Finally!) when spring is springing, the ground is awakening from its winter slumber and it\u2019s finally time to get outside and start planting the garden; just don\u2019t forget your natural sun screen<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Organic gardening, be it flowers, veggies, herbs, etc. is simply good for the soul.\u00a0 Digging in the dirt is grounding; the smell and feel of the earth connects you to your primal roots.<\/p>\n

As you watch your plants grow, a feeling of wonder and amazement at the way the earth works can be felt nearly every time the plants are tended .<\/p>\n

And then, there\u2019s the harvest.\u00a0 That bouquet of flowers or that fresh salad that you and the earth grew together; its good for both of you!<\/p>\n

Growing fresh, organic food and flowers in your own backyard creates less waste, requires no transportation (no fuel, green house gasses etc) to get to you, and, its healthier because you\u2019re eating the food right when its picked.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no garden too small, even some pots with flowers or veggies on the deck bring this special feeling into your life.\u00a0 And, if nothing else you can join a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm that offers a work share program and trade your time in the digging in the dirt for organic fruit and veggies grown there at the CSA farm.<\/p>\n

However you do it be sure to, get out, enjoy the day and connect with the earth!\u00a0 It’s good for both of you.<\/p>\n
