\"Sevani<\/a>One of the many<\/em> reasons I’m all for the development of honest labeling practices for all personal care products, including skin care products, is the issue “Fragrances” present when included in beauty formulations.<\/p>\n

You see, “Fragrances” can mean nearly anything when listed on personal care products.\u00a0 The FDA offers up this one word to manufacturers as a catch all for many kinds of different chemicals supposedly because they’re required to make the “scent” you smell when using the item.\u00a0 Unfortunately, some of the synthetic ingredients that can be included under this one single word are known to be very toxic to humans and the ecosystem while the effects of still others are as of yet unknown.<\/p>\n

Now, think about the way many of the beauty products you use smell.\u00a0 Go read the list of ingredients.\u00a0 I bet you find “fragrances” on the list.\u00a0 Its often near the bottom, and might even be labeled as “natural fragrances”, but, don’t let it fool you – there are likely added ingredients in that product that makes it actually something that’s not so natural after all.<\/p>\n

And, consider how you use these products.\u00a0 Usually you rub them into your skin and or hair all the while inhaling the “scents” we all used to think only served to make us smell so wonderful!<\/p>\n

It doesn’t have to be that way though.\u00a0 Beauty products can be effective and we can all smell fabulous without the use of toxic chemical ingredients.<\/p>\n

If you want to avoid these chemicals, be sure to read ingredient lists carefully and look for beauty products without “Fragrances” in them.\u00a0 That doesn’t mean they won’t have a scent.\u00a0 For example Sevani natural skin care products<\/a> do NOT<\/span> contain fragrances of any kind but many of our products will have a light citrusy smell because of our natural fruit acids and\/or the essential oils used; but all of our ingredients are on the label.\u00a0 We don’t hide behind “fragrances” because we know they can include frightening ingredients – and Sevani is ONLY and ever will be 100% Natural<\/em> and Pure.<\/em><\/p>\n

Now you know to run from beauty products that include “fragrances” on their ingredient lists but, if knowing this makes you as mad as it does me, you can do something about it!\u00a0 You can lend your voice to the fight for truth in labeling of all personal care products<\/a>.\u00a0 You can also help by Supporting companies that DON’T use toxic ingredients and that are honest with their customers about what really is in their skin care products.<\/p>\n

It’s time we all know what’s in the personal care products we’re using!\u00a0 No More Frightening Fragrances!\u00a0 We can all look and smell beautiful naturally.<\/p>\n
