Aromatherapy and Essential Oils

sevani skin careI was honored to be asked by my dear friend Marge to present at the Franciscan Spiritual Center this week. She asked me to present on one of my favorite topics, Essential oils and Aromatherapy. What a special day this was in such a Sacred Space amongst such beautiful beings.

I love to share this knowledge as for 20+ years I have been custom blending essential oils in my facials and body treatments to balance not only skin, but body, mind and spirit as well.  This experience had inspired me to create my natural and organic skin care products, Sevani, so I could share my special synergistic blends for pure, balanced and radiant skin through nature’s gift, botanicals.

Essential oils can be uplifting, calming, assist with grief, anxiety, PMS and even insomnia.  In addition, they offer therapeutic properties topically when used for anti-aging, acne, scars, sensitivity, to balance oily skin, treat a bug bite and more!  However, you must use caution as many essential oils are not “pure” or cut with carrier oils or synthetics.  Some essential oils are not recommended for the face, or pregnancy etc, as they may cause an allergic reaction or be too sensitizing so please use caution.

In Sevani botanical skin formulations we utilize Essential oils for their Therapeutic properties to balance skin types and protect from accelerated aging.  Our “Special Blends” combined with cutting-edge botanical extracts offer the ultimate synergy for anti aging, protection and stress relief.  3 in 1 benefits!

Aromatherapy benefits:  The scent of an oil or food is often connected directly to memories from our past.  Whether you associate the aroma of cookies with a delightful experience, or the fragrant aroma of hyacinths of  Spring, Roses in bloom, or a fresh cut lemon or orange….SCENT has such incredible attachments to our memory.  There is good reason that they make Cinnabun’s and Aunt Annie’s Pretzels right in the mall, as the scent attracts and draws you in, and often the sweet scents remind us of our positive childhood experiences…..being rewarded with a cookie or dessert.  🙂

I am so excited about the presentation today at the Franciscan Spiritual Center.  St. Francis, patron saint of animals has a special place in my heart, since a portion of all Sevani proceeds are donated to animal welfare amongst other various causes.  I am so grateful for the experience and plan to return soon for a visit and to share more of my knowledge on health and beauty.

Thanks to those of you whom attended, and big thanks to my dear friend Marge, and The Franciscan Center for having me.

Big blessings,
Sher
