Why is non-GMO important?  A GMO is a genetically modified organism (also called “genetically engineered”): a plant, animal, or microorganism that is created by means that overcome natural boundaries. Genetic engineering involves crossing species that could not breed in nature. For example, genes from a fish have been placed in strawberries and tomatoes.

Leaping bunny:  Leaping bunny is the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics.  This program administers a cruelty-free standard and the Leaping Bunny Logo is an internationally recognized standard for companies producing products that have the best assurance that no animal testing is used in any phase of production development.  This includes the laboratory stage of ingredient development.  Sevani took the pledge and offers certified cruelty free products.
